trading my 2000 for a 1000

i have searched the forums guys and i cant find shit so dont hate me for asking this question that has probably been asked a thousand times..whats the easiest way to transfer my songs from the 2000 on scsi and onto the 1000..plug the scsi into my computer and dump all the contents on there then hook up my 1000 via usb??can u do that??

Just don't plug the SCSI into a parallel port or you will fry something. And I'm not talking about eggs here.

parallel port??i know what they are in theory but what would have a parallel port for instance

it's the port on the back of your computer that you would normally plug a printer or a scanner into. (pre USB) SCSI ports and parallel ports are completely different ports and are not to be confused.
