anything that may detract from the pad's quality would be frivololus and unnecessary

it'd look really cool, but it'd be like spoilers on cars. utterly useless and only owned by shondos with more money than sense.

If you want light up pads go buy some toy korg or boss unit. They play like shit but hey, who cares if they light up. :roll:

No doubt... especially if you smoke in your studio, those pads will turn yellow. I've had that happen to some gear I sold a while back. After that, I stopped smoking in my studio and keep all my gear covered when not in use.
