Techie question: LINE IN saftey

Has anyone tried it, or do they know if it's "safe" to feed a phones out from a source (like a walkman) into the line in on the 1k?
I know that your probably "supposed" to only feed it the line out of a source, but I need to use the 1k with a cheap walkman as im travelling.

if you are talking about sampling from a cd on a walkman, i've done it so i would say, yes it is "safe" to do that.

Yeah it's perfectly safe, just adjust the level with the MPC's input level. You'll get a nicer signal if the walkman is turned up pretty loud.
