Filters/effects change while playing a sample?

Alright gentlemen,

Now my MPC1000 is just the business, but I can't seem to get the thing to change the filters/effects on a sample that's already playing: any changes only get applied to the next sample.

I was wondering, is there a way to get the MPC to vary the filters etc. on a sample in real time? This would be very handy, as I play back some long samples (damn, that 128Mb upgrade is nice..).

thats normal. on the 1000 filters are "note on".

no you can't do filter sweeps on the mpc-1000...it's just note-on. you wanna do filter sweeps get an external filter...sucks, but that's the way it goes.

Jings, that's a bit crap. Especially with 2 filters per pad...
