Mpc and logic 7 HELP!

Ive just got an mpc 1000 and have synced it to logic through my motu 828. I have synced it so they both play together but i cant reord it into an audio track on logic. How do i do this know i have tried alot of things and need help!!!!!!!

are you using the correct input in logic?

is your audio/midi pref set to receive audio from your soundcard/interface?

Have you tried reading the logic manual? It's very informative.

what are you recording out from on the mpc?

if ur using the 1 of the 4 outs you need to set the mixer up to send each pad

Im recording on the mpc and going through a motu 828 to get to my computer. The motu is also connected to little mixer. Do i need the mpc to be plugged into both the motu and the mixer. I have read the manual but it does not help that much on this topic.

Plug the outputs of the MPC to the inputs of the 828, make sure your audio preferences are set up right in logic, create however many blank tracks you need, arm them, hit record.
