How do i check what operating system the mpc1k is using

i have read about people who are talking about the operating system of the mpc and upgrading it or getting a current version.

do i need to upgrade/install a new version and if so where do i get it from?

by the way i am still working out what all the buttons do so bear with me.

You can check your os version with MODE OTHER.
