A new OS is definitely going to come, but there's no guarantees about this timestretch business.

since I have taken a 4k break I really don't miss the zoning or time streching. I mean my output has increased since I did my downsize. Do we really need the uprade?

i'm fine just the way it is. i don't need the timestretch and zoning. the timing on mine is just fine.

Track volume would be dope!
mixing the beats would be sooo much easier.

**** the update! Just get Sound Forge (or any other wave editing program) and your set. 8)

personally timestretching is cool. but not worth the hype about it. zoning on the other hand is practical and very useful, espectially if you like chops.
if you like loops, i can see why you'd like time stretching

my vote is on zoning, but in all honesty, i doubt they'll add these features anytime soon, if htey do, they make the 2k selling at a grand more, completly outdated.

plus the big move from akai to newmark, give them time, maybe if were lucky we'll get some attention

IMO the 1k is PERFECT,so simple, easy to use, easy to chop, easy to sequence, easy to sync to computers, PERFECT i love it the way it is

yah track volume should come first, it seems really 'missing' while timestretch etc. are more like xtra features.
