extract function question

Hey I have a question before I get a 1000, I want to know why ppl hate using extract to chop samples, I am currently using an mv 8000. Does the value dial move the start point too slow or something? I would figure the faster you turn it the faster it would go, or like on the mv 8000 you can select the frames rate of the dial.

hit shift and the cursor and you can change the value of wich it scrolls through

i LOVE the extract feature, **** the haters

its not that bad, i dont love it on the other hand

it sjust always having to navigate back to the original sample and then move the field to the next set of hills and valleys, extract, rename and repeat.

it works, but not favourably
