i want to record some midi session on the mpc but i have some problems.
Exemple: in the sequence on the 1st track i turn pgm:off and midi: 1a and i record what i play, then i turn on the 2nd track (pgm:off, midi:1a(or 2a)) and i want to play sound with my midi key , i change the instrument on my midi soft on the pc but the sound change in the 1st track..example: i have on track 1 the piano and i want to rec on the 2nd the bass, when i turn on bass, also the 1st track change...whY?
i have an oxygen 8 connected to my mpc(midi in) through the midi out(keyboard) and the mpc connected through midi out to the pc.
on the midi option's on the mpc ACTIVE TRACK RECIVE CHANNEL is turned on all and soft thru on omni-ab....
please let me know i can i record different instruments on different tracks on the same sequence.
thanks
gabriele

those synths aren't multitimbre, so you'll have to record a track of what you have... then move onto the next part.

yes i record a part on a track and another one in another track but...when i change the sound in the 2nd track it change also in the 1st track...know what i mean?
And another question about midi....if i want to record a moog seq on cake walk how can i select the patch moog?
thank you very much

Well you're recording midi. Which is just information, no audio passes through it at all. You have to record the audio, then move on to the next track. I'm not sure what you mean by your second question.

What recording software are you using?

You'll most likely have to goto the file menu...choose save as, audio bounce, or export tracks (depending on your software), or route it to audio tracks and record it in real time. Then import it back into your project (some programs will do this automatically). Then mute the midi file for that track and start your next track.

No you can't really record tracks to the mpc from a softsynth, unless you make like 4-8 bar loops to use.

so i've just finished a seq, on the 1st and 2nd track i've put only semple in .wav, on the 3rd track i recorded some piano notes and chords with my oxygen 8 midi keyboard...how cani convert without using my pc the midi informations into wav? if it is impossible without a pc how can i put on the pc the midi infos wich are un my mpc 1k(i use cake walk express, i've just bought protools m powered but i haven't yet read the manual)?
thank you very much and sorry but on the mpc's manual there's not so much about midi...

well if you want to record a sequence from samples on your mpc, you can goto mode - record. then set your input to main out. then hit record and play.
