I though I would post this just for the hell of it. My mpc1k has a pad doesn't want to go to full velocity when I'm using it, unless I put on the full level button  its pad 2 . So I'm driving to VST in Pasadena. Thank god its only about a 45min drive from where I live, and I will be able to get my pad fixed for free that day. I'll have to wait an hour or so. oooookay, yeaaaaaaaaaa (in the immortals words of lil Jon). So I though I post this, I kind of tire hearing about the 2500 for now.

Actually I'm going next friday. I have only had it for 7 months so its under warranty. They said I have to call Akai to get an RA# (registration authorization #). So I'm going to drive up there next friday, drop it off, and get some lunch, and then come back, and pick it up within an hour or so.

I just got back from VST. They fixed 4 defective pad sensors. dam!!! pads 2,4,7,8. I had to pay $45 for a 1 day turnaround, because i didn't want to drive up and back twice, and 2 i didn't want to 1-2 weeks. So it all good. VST rocks, especially when u only have to drive 45mins. And man thers some azz women up in Pasadena (CA).

did they give you any info on how your pads got broke?? is it just wear and tear and shit man if so that mean our pads arent that durable?

they were just saying that they were defective, but I think its from me hittin them to hard, to be honest. I wouldn't worry if i was you. I'm gettin better at using the pads, and realizing one doen't have to use them so hard.
