Program Transfer error

Greetings forum. I did a search for this, but it was way too many posts to look through.

I have a 2000xl and a 1000. I recently inslalled an internal zip in my pc to transfer the files from my zips to my compact flash so I dont have to make my programs over.

Well I noticed on my zip, that several files had the same exact name, so while copying it was asking me to replace them. I ended up with fewer files on my compact flash and a program that wont load.

Anyone know what's up with this?

The problem is that the PC only reads the first 8 characters of the MPC2000 format.

ok... thanks... I know that from the past... typically it will just say it cant find the sound on a 2000.. then you can rename it. Ahh well. It just wont load.
