How to change the welcome-message on the MPC1000?

When I turn on my MPC1000, the name of the earlier owner pops up on the screen. How do I change this?

I went to a Sam Ash once and turned their display 1k on and off, when it booted up the Akai Professional logo came up, does anyone know how to do this, because all mine does is display the amount of RAM.

hmm, don't know. Perhaps if the 128 mb is not installed and the 5 mb flash is cleared...?

mode-other-footswitch-f6

so how do u do this? id like to know, would be chill

Hmm. Just had the boring thought that should probably change it to my name and address in case anyone ever blags it. By the time they've registered for this site and asked how to change it they'll be in cuffs.
