Yo, the "full level" key acts somewhat strange. It doesn't "click" when I press it and I gotta press it kinda hard in order for it to work. Anyone got similar problems with their NEW 1k's?
Also... I found a technique for the "full level" key to work properly. (You gotta press it from the top, it seems) Still it s kind of annoying that you buy a new machine and something is out of order.

If you just bought it new from a retailer, exchange it for another 1k. Theres alot of defective 1ks out there, so don't be surprised. Like they say, "Never buy a car that was built on a Monday or a Friday", the same thing goes for Akai. You never know what you're gonna get until you open the box. Don't get me wrong... the 1k is a good machine when it's built properly.

Yeah, take it back. You shouldn't have to deal with that on a new item.

The key is loose or offset.. I had this problem when puting the case back on my 4000. All that happend with your 1000 was that the case wasnt put together properly. I guese your mpc was made on friday. All you have to do is remove the face make sure the buttons are sitting right and then carfully put it back on. Check before you screw it back together and that is that.

My Undo buttons gone like that, its been about 9 months though. Feels all spongy and it's bent to the side. Piece of crap. I wouldn't accept it 'new' though.

Don't just live with it, take it back and get your moneys worth, you didn't pay big money just to "live with it" or to complain about your heartache with it on the forums, you paid to get your stuff as perfect as it can be, NEW right? Do youself a favor and take it back cause you'll hate yourself later on when the warranty runs out and your button is still messed up and you realize you should have listened to us in the first place.
