help me with sample quality settings..

how can i set the sample quality setting, how many bits i want to sample the sound in..i really wanna know this..

only 16bit 44.1khz!! not changable

use bit grunger after to effect the sample
then resample if necessary

i always wonder if bit grunger is doing a straight up bit reduction or something different. Ableton Live is good that way with the Redux fx.

it really just adds distotion, i use it on snares alot

well, bit reduction basically sounds like distortion if u crank it up enough

the interesting part to me is when you just go from like 16 to 12, maybe 10 bits, it doesn't sound distorted quite just sort of 'crunchy'. i like!

i can't remember if my 1k gave me that sound last time i tried.

maybe if im bored sometime (or someone else) i should do an A/B comparison with the same sample on 1k vs. ableton. id like to know if it sounds even close.

yeah ok, i use to put the bit grunger effect on my hihats.. and sometimes the snares..it gives me a sound who sounds pretty much the same as the sp303 sound..but the bitgrunger effect really **** up on basslines etc..they will to much aggressive,.. i rather use my sp with my mp..

Do you EQ the snare after you've applied the BIT GRUNGER effect?

sample at 45, plus 8

then pitch your sample right back down for a nice crunch
