Sup y'all,
I have a digidesing 002 (many inputs) and been readin up on some of the posts and from what I can gather you can assign specific PADS to a designated output. Can somebody describe the optimal way to use my 4 outputs on my 1k? My main purpose is to get quality crispy individual snares, kicks, etc. to PT software to be able to further process, pan etc. How does one do this with the 1k? I thought I read in a thread about going into mixer mode and paning or something of that naure. Also, how do you go about getting a kick for example getting recorded if your kick is in continuous tracks and sequences? Been reading the manual and can't find anything that describes this process in detail
Any suggestions 'preciated

if your going to be going into pro tools there is no need to do any panning in your MPC. I do all my panning in my hardisk recorder. What i do is is when I make my programs. well I got 2 pgm files. one with everything in stero, but when I make my drums I have all the hi hats going out 1, snares to 2, kicks to 3. they are always set like that.

you'll have to pan if you want to use the 4 outs...that's how they work. Go to mixer--->L/out--->go to the assign pad number. cursor up and scroll to 1/2, then pan hard left for the pad(kick) to come out assignable out 1, 1/2 again for the snare, but pan hard right to go out assignable out 2, same applies for 3 and 4.
