go to the main screen, highlight program which is beside type, select window. Highlight 1 and use your scroll knob. if there is any sample in your unit it should show up. Unless it is really gone. Why didn't you save it to a pad or in a location when you could find it later LOL

Oce you decide to keep the sample you must go to the SAVE screen and save it to the CF card cause when you switch your MPC off, the internal mempry is wiped and you'll have to sample again. That is my understanding anyway.

I'd suggest saving the samples to the CF card regardless if you turn the 1000 off or not...better safe than sorry.

you sure there not on the 'trim' screen?

should be on the trim screen, usually right at the end of all the samples in memory, and usually with the default naming convention: sample001, 002, etc
(i would recommend renaming, as they start to clash with other samples of the same name if you never name them differently).
once you've tracked them down, stick them in a program and save that to the card.....
