ok every time i try to save a sample it say directory error!! wtf do i do when this stupid shit happens? i did a search n didnt find any forums on this topic! n i lookd in the manual! what do i do?

nooo never all my sequences r saved in there n my space i have saved in there already ill do it when i get my hard drive so i can back it up before i reformat it!! i hate fl cards!!!!!! with a passion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a Mac or PC that you could backup the contents of the CF card to and then reformat? That might be your best option.

n also when im using bluebox y do some samples come up conflict with so n so note? y does it do that? i think im going to throw this mpc through the goddamn wall!!!!!!!! i love the damn thing but its pissing me off! aaaaahhh

That sounds like the CF card has some bad sectors or a bad directory tree (which a reformat should clear up).

i have the same problem, i have already format my cf but i have the sme fukin problem, when i arrive at 100 mb it says: directory error!! (the cf is 1000mb!!)

you are only allowed a certain amount of files in any one folder at a time, also the root dir, organise your sh1t better. (be sure to back up form time to time)

He isn't talking about the size of the card, but the number of files in a folder. Make more folders and subfolders and organize your samples rather than have 1 folder with 100 files in it.

Well in a computer there is always a fixed limit for something. If the 1000's OS uses a single byte for file enumeration that means you can probably have 256 files in a folder. This is probably what's going on.
