you have to change the midi channels man if track one is da bass ex:1a
go to track 2 and put 2a you should be str8 from there just rinse lather repeat peace

yo tonerock.. I have the exact same setup, I know midi is pretty easy to figure out, and honestly I've never midi'd anything to my mpc because I've just sampled stuff off it... but yo, it takes way longer to do that. If you figure out how to make your 1000 and your xa talk, hit me up.

I will give u a hint, but still read the manual ok
You need to be SENDING on different channels from the mpc,
then RECEIVING on different channels from your fantom.
So on mPC you got one track = ch1, another track = ch2 etc..
Then you must set up the Fantom so that guitar = ch1, bass = ch2, and so on. Probably this step u are missing, so.. read the manual.
I don't have a Fantom but probably it involves going into a 'performance' mode where you combine different 'voices' and assign them to different channels.
Playing multiple instrument sounds at once is called multi-timbral.
