tempo change when creating a song

I have some seq.'s with different tempos in a certain order, but they aren't changing tempos when i play the song. It keeps the first seq's tempo for the whole song (therefore messing up my other seq.'s). Is there an option or something i need to select? I press the window key in the tempo field in song mode, and that brings up this "fix" thing...i'm a little confused...

(tried searching the forums...nothing came up)
