Awright there Boaber.

I talked to a Numark support gent about this. Nae joy; he confirmed it's no possible. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the next OS update -- Christ, even an SP303 can filter sweep.

here's how i use the filter. since changes in qlink slider only effects a sample in the instant it starts, turn a short synth or tonal sample's attack and decay up a bit so it sounds smooth. turn time correct to 32 triplets and then record a track of this using note repeat. this synthesizes a long tone. now, assign that sample to a q link slider with a nice filter. hit the "after" button and play. then you can use your filter as if it were realtime.

i also hope that realtime filters will be added so we can use filtering on actual phrase samples rather than having to synthesize tones instead. however, you can get some pretty cool noises this way. just gotta freak what you have.

Indeed.

I mean, the MPC1000 is a cool machine.

But, like most of us I'm sitting here with 128Mb in it, and it's just begging to be used for phrase sampling. Man, with real-time filters and pitch, I could use this thing as a multitrack recorder as well! Which would be well tidy.
