dude, it was stated earlier, there is a whole thread that talks about this. come on, do a search, i've written several posts explaining why (if you don't get the akai brand) it has to be 256mb. you are not a newbie(according to your join date) these are the type of questions that get everybody in here to the point where they start screaming on cats to search, read the manual, do work on their part b4 asking a question. there is a sticky talking only about what type of ram and why.
