Will tracks mute each other?

Thinking about buying an MPC.

Question...

If you load the same program on Track 1 and Track 2, and the hi hats are in a mute group, will playing hats on track 2 mute any ringing hats on track 1?

yup, pretty damn sure. try to keep each track w/ it's own mute group

some times for me if Im using a long synth noise it will cancel another track out with the same noise

if one is muted the other one should work
