another video

click on my signature "MPC1000 v2.0 videos/pics" for another installment of a video. this one is about using reason as a sound module with the mpc. then come back here and tell me what you think.

wow! over 100 people looked at this thread and no one has any comments about it whether good or bad?

I don't use Reason.

Now if you had some stuff on the 1K, S1000 and Cubase SX...I would leave feed back.

Well I apreciate the video, cuz I am a heavy v-stack user and I was thinking of going the reason route. dling now.

Are you recording reason in mpc with the new input thru features? or using the mpc as midi master within reason? Have you noticed any velocity change in the pads when u use the mpc-1000 as the master (midi) in reason?

Everything that you've seen was actually done with OS 1.07 no new features were used. i recorded reason in the mpc using midi as i explained it. i didn't use the pads to record my reason tracks in the mpc. i used my keyboard controller. however, i could still hit the pads to get the same results so to answer your question, there were changes in velocity that i didn't want to have changed on the pads. it's a good setup

i was thinking about getting a motif or triton, mo phatt or the likes but i use reason anyway as a stand alone product so i figured why spend over $1000US when i can just use what i have. if i want more sounds (reason comes stocked with more sounds than the motif) i could just pay $40 to get another refill(reason formatted sounds) with upwards to 1.5gb more sounds. in some cases you'd get more than 1.5gb.

my only suggestion is that you add an explanation of your connections to your post for those new to midi


this is for the cats that keep asking if the 1K has autochromatic feature...here is a link to a program for the MPC 1000 so that the pads are layed out autochromatic

...so basically set your ish up exactly like sparq's except use the autochrmoatic prog instead of "OFF"

ie

TYPE: MIDI
PGM: AutoChromProg .....instead of "OFF"
MIDI: 5A
