I been using this little tool for live shows lately and have discovered some gliches.
like...
a) when i am running a few loops and banging away at the pads...if i get too carried away towards the end of the loop, the loop will be silent for 1 rotation - then kick back in after a measure. ( i can live with this if i just restrain myself )
b) last show i was running some pretty long loops - like 8 bars - and not even hitting the pads. in the middle of the song, the mpc just didn't output my loops for 8 whole bars, then came in again like nothing had happened.
c) sometimes it just seems to skip a beat if i play a loop for a long time.
is this kind of thing common for these pricey toys???? or do i need to get mine serviced?
you roll with the punches when this stuff happens...and something always happens when you're playing live shows...but it can really kill the momentum of a jam when i'm silenced like that.
