Hey, I just traded my motif and got reason, some refills and a groove tube mic. I still use the 1k for drums though. I think that sh!t is hot! The sounds in that thing sound like real instruments. I think I will build me a pc to use just as a sound module and record into my mac with protools. Any thoughts on that? Anybody?

MPC, and PC with... E-MU Emulator X Sound Card (I think), Reason 3.0, FL5, VST's and a 88 key midi controller. In my opinion, the best setup.

I use my pc as a sound module and I have a lot of hardware soundfonts and sound banks and its great. Its like a unlimited expandable sound module.

Well as for rewire, its kinda to much at one time on one system for me.I tried rewire, it works but it kinda bogs down the system to me. I actually already have that setup on this pc that Im on right now, 2.5 Ghz P4, 512 Ram, E-MU 0404 with Proteus X, FL5, Absynth, but no controller in this room. The only problem is, I gave this system to my girl, and she aint giving it up! I also love to build systems from scratch, but I will probably be using that setup pretty much but with 2gig of ram and a 3.2 P4, I want that 800Mhz front side bus board.
