Toshiba
Model: MK4026GAX (40GB

it works, i'm thrilled. can't wait to get os 2 and actually sample into my mpc for the first time instead of sampling to my computer and then to mpc. best thing is, all i have to do is run a set of quarter inches from the available main out of my mixer and get another spdif cable...ultimate flexibility.

I'm a bit dumb when it comes to computers, but will pretty much any make and model of hard drive work or should it have any specific specs such as the amaount of pins or something?

I just bought the same drive you bought and from what I can tell it works great no noise factor the only thing I had a problem with was the screws to mount the drive on the mounting plate the holes from the drive even when pushed in all the way wouldn't line up so screws are crooked other than that everything works great.
