Wuddup ya'll.
First, I wanna state a lil' something about myself. I've been dj'ing for 6 years now, and have beein doing beats for the past 2 years or so. I got a 1000 hooked up with an old Korg workstation (n364). I know the two quite well now. I do primarily hip-hop, but some other shit as well. I wanted to start recording shit and I just found an Akai dps-12 for a good price (200 -- is that a good price?? or could i do better). I'm thinking of getting it, but I wanted to know of people's experiences with the machine, and what extra things, i.e. - cd burner or effects card, would i need if i did cop it. Yes, I did a search, and I didn't find too much about it (maybe I used the wrong search words)
Second, I'd like to state that I've heard some ill beats coming from a lot of ya'll so keep that up. Oh yeah, and I'm glad to be a part of a forum such as this.
