MPC1k causing computer to crash

For some reason now whenever I hook up my MPC1k to my computer via USB and try to access it inside 'My Computer -> H:\MPC 1000\', it causes my computer to restart automatically without any warning.

Has anyone here had that problem before or possibly know why it's happening? Once my computer restarts it says it has recovered from a serious error. I never have had this problem before with anything.

Any ideas..?

i've had the same issue before with different usb devices

try reinstalling your usb card if it's a pci one

if not, avoid using the mpc1000's usb and instead use a external cf card reader, they're extremely cheap and much faster.
