Ok, I've installed the hard drive, no prob. When I hook it up via USB, go to Mode>Load>USB, my Macintosh says"You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OSX can read. To continue with the disk inserted, click Ignore. My choices are Initialize, Ignore and Eject. Hitting Ignore then does just that - the HD is not recognized by my Powerbook G4. If I hit Initialize - it takes me to a setup where I can Format the drive(which I don't want to do 'cause its been formatted by the 1K ).
Does this mean Mac users are fu<ked? Is the drive formatted as Fat32? If so, Mac can read but not write on it. This sucks.

OK Nevermind. It seems I didn't correctly format the drive first. Everythings cool. This ROCKS! I'm dumping 1.43 GB to it and it says it'll take 5 hours. Time to go out and get some dinner and beers.....

dam, i didn't anyone took me seriously when i posted that b4. i guess they'll see it won't be that much of a hassle when they try backing up the entire drive through the mpc.

but to answer your question, that looks like it would workok but read the reviews

you may also want to try this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=41911
this is why i suggested this. it will not take as long.

Nothing bad, it just closed the format menu on the MPC. I thought it was too short a time to format the disk.
