[hd adapter] where to get it in japan ?

Hi guys,

i am going to be in Japan for the end of year and stuff. I think i will try to get my hdm10 adapter there (i'll avoid shipping costs and anyway i'll be hanging around a bit in music shops in tokyo).

if some japanese dudes could recommend me some shops in tokyo which will have the kit it would be really cool!

Find a big music store and they should have it in there. I already got mine on order. Will arrive on 20th Dec. Also go into a book shop and find a magazine called "Sound & Recording". It has heaps of ads for music stores in it with prices. So just go to one of those places. Your lucky cause most of the biggest and best stores are in Tokyo (and cheapest prices).

The HDM-10 kit is 2900 Yen or about $24 US

There's a shop in a sidestreet in Akihabara called Sofmap Creator's World, downstairs it sells 2nd hand music hardware (all cleaned up and shrink wrapped), and in the two floors above are all new music electronics, i got my 1000 there so I guess they might have the adaptor, this is it:

that really does look like a sidestreet. actually, more like an alley

funny how a side street is spotlessly clean, and yet the route up mount fuji is getting ruined by tourist's waste. Probably westerners. (i should know: i am one!)

Sofmap is good, they have a number of stores - the akihabara store is a good one to check as is the shinjuku one. Ishibashi music in shibuya near manhattan records is good for all new stuff and I would expect it to stock the adaptor. i reccomend going to websites and printing a map with a reference to a trainn station otherwise you won't find these places. Addresses do not help in japan , maps are your best bet.

You can get stuff pretty cheap in sofmap creators world. The 2nd hand stuff is sometimes really cheap when they have a sale on. You can get an idea of prices from this website
