MPC 1000 bk releasedate & OS 2.0

Hi there,
this is what i got from akai germany:
the mpc 1000 bk will be officially introduced at the winter namm (january 19-22). it remains unclear whether the os update will be presented as well, or if it will cost anything, or if you have to update the hardware to use the new system (which would be just a way to get some money out of us since the beta is running on sparqs machine). just wanted to let you know...

honestly, no you dont need to update no hardware, you dont need to pay for it, i trust sparq. thanks for the info about the namm stuff. seems logical that they would introduce the new machine at the biggest music convention. peacers

@djobserv: hope you are right. we both know its not necessary to update the hardware, but you can MAKE it necessary if you want to sell something.
it just did feel a bit strange talking to and writing to the akai germany people, as they kept on making allusions that you might need new hardware...
anyway, hope i am just being paranoid about it
