I don't think this info is irrelevant, i think it's pretty exciting. Of course, myself I'd proceed with caution... but if that sh*** does f** up your box, i definitely do want to hear about it! so I can avoid it myself
it's exciting in the long run because there are examples from history where 3rd-party OS's have dropped and given machines a new life...
(what's the machine I'm thinking of, it wasn't the asr-10 was it? something like that... the OS gave it a bunch of xtra filters and effects)
I think its really cool when people out there take the time to hot rod their machines, whether hardware or software, especially if it does good things to the sound instead of screw it up.
Anyway, yeah this thread has been done before, so I should shut up now...
