i locked up my mpc1000 - no audio out at all!!! help

Hi guys

on the weekend i was as usual on my new baby and i actually seemed to lock it up or overload the output several times. each time i had a say 20 second synth pad sample and i applied reverb to it and while hitting the pad i was using qlink 2 to also change the pitch and the mpc just produced a buzz and then i had no audio out at all from any of the pads assigned with other samples???? a restart was all i could do to fix it. I searched the forum but couldnt find anything like this. is it a known bug maybe or should i return it to where i bought it?

I've never experienced or even read about a problem like this, so I don't believe it's a bug. It seems more like a defect, in my opinion. To be on the safe side, I'd recommend you return it and exchange it for another unit while you still have the opportunity. You don't wan't to deal with this problem later on and have to send it to Akai. TRUST ME!
