MPC1000 and Alesis Micron

i have midi in outs going in to both my mpc and micron i get sounds from the micron to go threw mpc and record on my scquence but i can only use one instrument from the micron evry time i turn the knob changes the orngial sound on the squences also when ever i put it on the channel its on i get werid moise on my mpc when i play squences. My question is how do i get multiple sounds from micron to record on my mpc?
