Wuts Gud Everyone?

I use to use the MPC 2000XL and now I own the MPC 1000. Most features are the same and are operated the same, but I am having trouble looping my samples.

After going to the "Trim Mode", I hit "Loop" and then turn the loop on. Next I press edit and then it says....

"DISCARD"

as if i'm trimming the sample. On the 2000 XL, when I follow the same steps, it allows me to loop the sample.

What Am I doing wrong? How do you loop samples on the MPC 1000?

Don't have my 1K with me at the mo' but there's no need to press EDIT. Set LOOP to on and set LOOP start and end points. Should be ok after that. Let me know if you're still stuck.

You need to use your ears... outside of that...what area are you having problems with?

Ya'll didn't understand my question. I got it fixed now. And what I needed to know was on page 59, not 56 (I already know how to do all that having experience with the xl)

My sample wouldn't loop (even when I turned it on loop mode). I needed to change the layer option to "Note On" in the program mode.

It says...

"Note: When you loop the sample, set the play mode to Note On. When you select ONE SHOT, the loop feature will not work even when it is on"

Thanks for your willingness to help.
