wtf? (a bug again?)

I was just recording a few notes with the 1000

just a simple boom bap (was hitting pad1 and pad2 only) to test antonym's new drumkits

I have Autoload set to OFF, nothing was loaded except that antonym program

In order to hear the metronome I recorded the rhythm using that defaut Program01 (that comes up when you turn on the 1k (with nothing loaded)).

Only pad 1 and 2

I record the ish, then switch program (take that funkypenguin program).

And I'm like wtf, this f*cking machine is playing pad 3 and 2!??

Do you also have this???

im not sure exactly if this is the reason why this happens, but i think it might be. first question were those kits made in 'bluebox'. if so, then its possible that 2 or more samples conflict with each other (they've both been accidently assigned to the same midi note, although they r on different pads) and this causes the samples to swap once u've finished recorded and playback what u hav don wiv those samples. the first few kits i made in bluebox this happened all the time as i did not notice the red error msg saying there was a conflict, since ive realised this mistake i was making (very very easy to make this mistake on bluebox if u dont pay enough attention when assigning samples) all my new kits dont do this at all.

the solution would be to take the samples of the kit (if it wasnt originally made by yourself), then load them into bluebox nd check if there is a conflict with the notes that each sample is assigned, if there is,you will need to make sure that each note goes in chromatic order, i.,e c1, c1#, d1, d1#. e,1 f1, f1#, and so on. hope that helps

just checked the pgm but the midi assignation is correct...

what drum kit were you using? are you sure there are no stars in the note assignment? if there are stars you're gonna have problems, and it would be my fault for forgetting to hit "make pads chromatic"

i opened it with bluebow, there was no stars...

Go to program -> note

and press reset. That should fix it.

I tried it but it still plays random pad numbers....

if you change the midi settings you have to rerecord your performance, cos the mpc doesn't think like "he pressed pad 1, then pad 2", it thinks like "he pressed midicode 45, then midicode 46"

yes i know that but it just doesn't work...

has anybody noticed that when u make a program chromatic in blue box then load it in a mpc and turn it off and turn it on and load it again if u go to midi note the assignments aren't chromatic anymore?????
