thanks for the heads up, i guess it might have confused the little tyke who asked the question in the first place!! he would've posted: "What does 'SERCH' mean?"

stop complaining already man. go work on some beats instead of avatars and useless posts

you know what if akai did care about its customers they would withhold the os and not release it at all. they would make it maditory to buy a 2000xl or 2500 in order to get the streching feature. but they have confirmed with a lot of people that it is going to be comming. so just stop already its useless. it owuld make your day go by faster and the os would arrive faster if you just stoped thinking about it. dang.

Not to beat a dead horse, but do you think Akai is going to wait to release the OS 2.0 after they start shipping the 1k Black models? Just a thought because that would suck, I need Timestretch already!

No I'm still new to the MPC, just got mine less than a month ago. Pitch to fit huh? I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

checked your beats.. ttheir Dope! if anything just import your samples into acid or soundforge(you listed them as a set of programs you used) and then just resample it out or export it via usb. may seem like a lot of work. i take my dj'ing backround and use pitch like how i would with mixing two records together.

Oooh hahaha You were talking about your using your tables for the "pitch-to-fit" thing??? I thought so, but wasn't sure. haha I do that already, I wasn't sure if you meant that "pitch-to-fit" was an option or mode on the 1k. I like Timestretch better because sometimes I don't want the pitch to change. But yea, for the time being I'm going to have use Soundforge and Acid to set the samples up. I just want to eventually not need the computer to do that. Maybe, just maybe one day. lol  Thanks for checking the beats mang.
