Is there any other way?

Is it possible to erase the sounds the mpc originally comes with?Its confusiong when i transfer kits via usb from my comp into the mpc because i dont know which sounds i put in because they get mixed with the mpc kit sounds when i try to program.I tried putting a folder of samples into the mpc via usb,when i tried to open the folder however,it wouldnt open.
