MPC 1000 loading 2000xl seq and pgms?

Hey,

A friend has an MPC 2000xl SE1 mint with 8 outs for 850.00. I have an MPC 2000xl white but I use it live alot and wanted another MPC Strictly for the studio. I had contemplated getting an MPC 1000 because I heard you can load 2000xl programs onto it. Has anyone ever loaded 1000 stuff on a 2000xl without issues? Also at this price I think getting another 2000xl might be a better option, any opinions or experiences one might want to share? Although the 1000 looks good for live stuff.

This is mainly to see if anyone out there has transferred 2000xl files onto the 1000. Not a 2000xl 1000 battle debate. I tried search and it does not seem to work very well, I specified the terms and forum and all it does is bring up the most recent posts.
