Hi, i just got my 2nd mpc1k from the US, I live in Australia, the first one had a problem with the screen.
Anyways, with both my mpcs, i've had problems with saving my projects. Whats happens is I make my beat and save my project, then turn off my mpc, load the same project, add/change something or change a mixer setting, then go save entire memory again and replace the original one on the flash card. Yet when I turn the mpc off and back on and load the same project the changes aren't saved. I'm having real trouble witht his. Its happend many times, even when i try saving the project again with a new name. How I save my projects is creat a new folder for each one then 'save entire memory' including samples to that folder, and just leave the sequences, and project called the generic PROJECT01.
Has anyone else had this or a simialr problem? Its very annoying, having to redo my sequences with a few extra minor changens every time.

you have to set it to "OVERRIDE SAME FILES" or whatever it is.

nah i had this prob, even when i selected 'overwrite existing' watever the setting was. a fair few ppl have had the same prob here, and it seems to be widely ignored, i know my mpc was bust, but this happened every time i used it. i think the mpc is very buggy when it comes to saving stuff, im clearly not the only one who had the same probs. i hope akai rectify it in the new os, or i hope some one works out where the issue lies. im still touching wood that my mpc has been lost in the post and that ill get 500 quid on insurance, then i can get a brand new mpc without any of these probs.

M02, have you tried another CF card?
Don't have this problem myself but you can do a workaround by saving PROGRAMS AND SAMPLES and ALL SEQ AND SONGS instead of ENTIRE MEMORY

i have had this problem as has someone else i work with. I think i fixed it by renaming and never saving over a project. But even then sometimes it does weird shit.
