What it Do,

I just read on Akai's site that this feature is available with the new OS. If so, have any of you had issues with it? Does it work like the 2500 where you can sample while listening to the sequence?

i dont think you have understood this properly

you could listen to the sequence while sampling on the old os

the input thru lets you hear the input all the time, even when not sampling

i think (some1 pls verify this) on the 2500 u can sample directly into a sequence

Damn. I didn't know the old OS allowed you to sample while hearing the sequence. I know for sure that the 2500 allows you to sample and will even KEEP THE PLACEMENT of the new sample.

I have the 2000XL but will all the OS upgrades on the 1000 it's definitely up to par. It comes down to preferring a hinge screen, bigger pads, 4 extra outs,MTC and external storage (besides a computer) because the 1000 has everything else.

i think you may have mis understood. even though the 2500 and the 1000 both have input thru, what you are referring to is continuous track recording where it will KEEP THE PLACEMENT of the new sample. the 1000 does not have that. if you download both the 2.5k and 1k manual, you can read up on the differences between the two.
