What up, Family? :D

I have been searching the forum but am having some trouble finding the answers. I will keep searching but maybe some of ya'll can help me.
I just copped my first MPC 1000 and I am having the hardest time figuring out how to load some samples ie drum kicks and what not, off my computer. I downloaded Blue Box but I keep getting error messages like
a big red X with this is interfering with A05, B06, etc?? :( I really want to get down on this thing but not with the factory sounds. I was previously using FLStudio Producers Edition. I have a 1G cf and am waiting on the memory ugrade chip.

frist i want to say congrats on your purchase.

next, regarding your problem, there is a help menu in blue box. i suggest you read it. click on help and then click on contents. everything you want to know about bluebox is in there.

but since this is your first post, i'll help you out a little.

this is how you create a pgm using bluebox

you have to create a new blank folder. then go into bluebox and start creating your program. when you're done, goto file > save all and point it to the new blank folder you created.

that saves all the samples and the pgm file. then you drag that folder to the mpc. as long as there are no midi conflicts it works EVERY time.

for anything else, read the help file.

Thanks so much for your reply. I did look at the help file but had trouble putting 2 + 2 together
I'll give what you said a try.
Oh, and would you know how to disconnect the MPC from the computer properly using Windows XP? When I try to disconnect, the MPC still reads "connected". I went to the Device Manager, and followed the instructions, but no change on the MP. So I have to turn the MP off to disconnect.
