Why does sample cut off when I hold note repeat?

Sometimes when I'm making a track, I let the sample play. When I'm using note repeat to add some rapid hi hats, drums etc., the sample tend to cut off. Is there a solution or an explanation for it?

is it on a mute group? if so check that out on the samples ur using, do u have on mono for an entire program or poly? if so check that out

look over your samples and set the voice overlap to mono in the program-->params menu on those samples that don't need overlaping
