multisamples and mpc pad187

Hey fellas will anyone explain to me how to make a multisample of a patch using mpc pad 187? Thanks in advance. I tried the directions from midicase, but still can't seem to grasp it.

Works like the MPC
1) Select a Pad Bank (A, B, C, or D)
2) Select a Pad (1-16)
3) Select a Sample (1-4)
4) Drop a sample onto the "Drag .wav Here" thing

Or..

You can also just drag samples onto the pads and select assign to first Sample. The first sample dropped on the pad gets assigned to sample #1 if the pad is empty, then 2, then 3, then 4.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I didn't explain myself well. I know how to work MPC Pad 187 enough to have a simple drum kit program, what I need to know is how to have a multisample from a single .wav file since there is no auto chromatic function on the 1000 (that I'm aware of).
