programs won't load

I jus got finished makin all these programs last night within the MPC and saved them. I uploaded them to my computer, reformatted my drive and put them back on the computer.....now they don't load correctly but its only the ones I jus made that night. Some don't load @ all but I'm lookin @ now program now uploaded....and none of the sounds are there but there is a bunch of odd characters like ? Something that looks like a K and I think the rest might b japanese characters... Actually this might b a bug or something because even the level tune and range are all changed are also messed up...anybody know what could cause a **** up program or might it b my computer? I got a beat comp in like a month, this the last thing I need

when you saved your pgm's, did you save with samples?

Yeah...shoudnt I be doing that?

Now I jus tried uploading a sequence got the wrong file error and then got a memory dump.....


Maybe I'm makin some dumbass moves

Also when I try to open them up in bluebox (the programs) I get an error "min >=max"
And will not open or I get the other error "unaccessible"

It's not a naming issue is it? I had some problems with a sample library that wouldn't load from my hd ( got error wrong file or sumtin) . I went back to the PC altered the names and it worked from there.
I'd say watch out for keyboard characters or maybe the girth of the name.

u mean the length of the name? i dont have any special character

that's not the reason. 99% of all windows XP systems are NTFS.

perhaps there was a problem with u reformatting your HD.

or maybe there was a problem with the HD when you saved the programs,
why did you reformat the HD anyway? - (inquiring out of interest).

do the program names look ok in the pgm maker app?

Its funny I backed em up but the same files on the computer open but it won't open when its accessed throught the mpc

Is this possibly because I am name the folder/program/and sequence all the same name?

dunno geez,
its a bit beyond me now, i dont have a pc, (mac only), and i dont yet have a HD in my mpc. sorry if i cant be of any use dood.

did you format the drive from within the mpc? not through the usb cable on the computer? if you did, try re-formatting the drive (not with the usb cable connected)

hmmm i didnt have the usb connected to the computer but it was still connected to the mpc, ill try that though, im makin myself sound mad lazy leavin it connected but i will give it a shot and see what happens

it was the # of items in the root folder
