Something I did (Dont know what) mpc1k

I dont know what I did I hooked my mpc MIDI IN going into my M-audio Ozonic(midi contoller) MIDI OUT. And the mpc MIDI OUT is going into Ozonic MIDI IN. Now when I record a track it records inside the mpc. Thats HOTT. What is called? So I can record my drums over it? Then rewire from Cubase SX3. Oh im feeling that. Well can someone told me what I did?

lol. Thanx But I havent just learned about it. When I record into Reason it records onto the mpc so how would I know the end of the bar unless I keep looking at it?

that would be called midi, programs run using midi , you r sample is controled my midi messages and so is reasons , so when you hook it up reason is meirly just sending midi messages to your sampler making your sampler the slave and reason the master slave.all thease system work on sysex messages and other types of midi messages, every contorl has it own value like pitch bend i beleave is 7 and there all the same numbers when you from system to sytem , thus making midi so dam universal. you can control every on your sampler with reason by programing the msb and lsb values to contorl sampler, youl find thease values in the back of your manual and you program them in reasons .i use logic and i control everything with logic and i dont even have to touch my sampler or keyboard
