how do i get the mpc 2 loop a drum beat at the time i want it to with out the loop switched on and the timing button off?

simply put the number of BAR you want to play, let say 32 for exemple.

add 32 times your drum loop in your sequence,
if you drum is not a loop (i am talking here about a loop sample), but a sumsof drums one shots in a bar, you will have to use the copy fonction, or you can do it by hand of course...

hit play.
