Operating system v2.0, after market CF card glich???

I have 2 flash cards....one is the Akai, the 32mb one the machine came with, and the other is a kodak 64mb.....when the new operating sys, dropped...i loaded it on to the kodak card...and was like...aight...aight finally.....then went on to notice that the machine wouldnt recognize the new OS form that card....and i was like what in the %$#!!...proceeded to load it on to the akai...and it worked no problem....now...what is happeneing....i cant remove any sounds off of the kodak flash, nor could i load any ish on....it dont let me do ish....ive tried dumping into the computer, and reformatting the card on the MPC as well....on the MPC it says "formatting" but everything is still on the card...on the computer it starts to delete files....but when it comes to the operating system file...it crashes and says "cant move read only file"....and nothing comes off the card that way....does anyone have any idea why this is...and maybe how i can get this CF kodak card totally empty again????

I read somewhere that Kodak CF cards are no good for anything but a Kodak camera. From what I remember, that's what the package stated when I saw those cards in Target.

ok....but the strange thing is it was working fine before...i pu tthe new OS on it....so there must be a way...for it to be reformatted....

why don't u go back to version 1.7 then reformat the kodak card...then won't that work?

if he is just going to format the card, he doesn't have to revert to os 1.07. just put the card in the mpc and proceed to format it. just make sure you don't have anything on the card.

see the thing is.....i have already put the card in the MPC to reformat...and it says "reformatting will erase entire CF card"...then it proceeds to say formatting...when u look on the card everything is still there.....and also i cant save anything to the card....or remove or add anything too it....i cant do anything to the damn thing, its futile...even when i click and drag to delete onto a folder on my desktop....it wont let me transfer files....it says "these are read only files"....everything remains the same on the card...the only thing i can do....is load whatever sounds i previously had on the card into the MPC...but cant save to the CF card....so...im stumped...anyone figure a way around this...lemme know.!!!...thanks!!
