hey, maybe i'm on the short bus on this trick, but has anyone else tried using the mpc's wav editor "delete" function for simply taking out record pops that you don't necessarily want in your sample?
we're talking about the ones that you just really don't want, you know? the ones that are too much to justify keeping by saying that "it's that vinyl sound." not that i don't like scratchy samples. i love em. but everyone knows that sometimes, you'd just rather it not be there, esp when the sample you are trying to pluck is at a low volume on the record, so all the pops are much "louder."
give it a shot, tell me what you think. i don't think it is an amazingly technically trick, but i've definitely overlooked it until now.
