Just Got My New MPC1000!!!

Hi. I just purchased the MPC 1000. It's the older blue one, but brand new. What should I do to get it 100% current? For example, how do I find out what os I'm running on, what's the max (or close) RAM I can put in (128??) and anything else I should know...Thanks in advance, and sorry if this has been concisely posted somewhere else!

Yes you can add 128mb (although you actually have to buy 256mb laptop memory) see the Sticky at the top of this MPC1000 forum to find out how. Sparq also has a video showing you how easily it is done.

To find the OS, it;s something like Mode--> Pad8 and then go to the page where you can set the -db level of the output. In the top left corner it should say what OS you are one.. Chances are it is 1.07
